We also talk about Flash game preservation, games that aren't coming to Switch, and how many Bloodborne sequels FromSoftware is working on.

This week on The Free Cheese, what does the start button do? With Matt and Ben away, Marc and Joe gather round the podcast table for the last episode before Game of the Year podcasts are recorded.

We talk about where Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has taken us and what we're really enjoying. Then we talk a bit about Gris, a new game from Nomada Studio that leaves an impact in the short amount of time we spent with it. We also talk about the latest update to Fire Emblem Heroes and how we're starting to understand the game a little more.

Finally, we hear about new ways to wire up a GameCube controller, find out when we can play as 2B in SoulCalibur VI, hear how Discord plans to shake up the digital market next year, and outline the list of games featured at EVO Japan 2019.

This week on The Free Cheese, everybody's here! In case you weren't aware, there's a new game in the Super Smash Bros. franchise and we're pretty excited about it. We detail the game's Adventure mode and highlight some of the things we've discovered on our respective journeys. We highlight new characters and talk about the changes made to the ones we love. Additionally, we talk a bit about Artifact and Hitman 2 and how they both add to the conversations we'll be having in a few short weeks.

We learn about new video games that were announced at The Game Awards and talk about other news—like which rapper is reselling garbage with a different name on it this week.

This week on The Free Cheese, we revert our drivers. Like every great video game podcast, we start off talking about what to do with a two-dollar box of glass: break it. Matt finished up his adventures out west just in time to spread some cards out three ways and take out the Ancient. Marc leaves behind yesterday's travels to deliver a message across time and space. Ben takes out a champion before almost taking out his graphics card. Joe pretends to be the drummer in a band while a statue falls in just the right way.

We also talk about the launch of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and what we expect from The Game Awards. We hear about the latest patch to Mario Tennis Aces and which famed 2D developer is helping to bring home Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

This week on The Free Cheese, yeah! We're all together again to talk about video games—and to slowly incite riots around the table. Between yelling about which games are or are not good, we find one thing we can all agree on. Marc returns to a mobile camp he can carry in his pocket but spends a while going on adventures with Pikachu. Matt gets lost in the open fields and forests as he tries to narrow down his choice for the best video game this year. Ben takes a break from getting harassed on the internet to see if he can find a hammer. Joe transcends earth again only to find himself on a racetrack in Miami.

We talk about the triumphant return of Tomagotchi, the potential of a new disc drive-less Xbox One console, unchanging Rainbow Six Siege, adding new characters to Mario Tennis Aces, and more before we spiral into madness.

Ben updates us on his spreadsheet of science documenting online fighting taunts while hanging out with death metal. Joe continues his journey to enlightenment but takes a detour into a reimagined world of pocket monsters.

We discuss the next series from Castlevania producer, when to expect PUBG on PS4, and why PlayStation doesn't need E3 2019. All this, a pitch for a Jack Tretton video game, and more on this episode.

This week on The Free Cheese, the fine makers of jelly bring you "horseradish." In between his adventures on the road, Marc grows his ever-expansive family of characters in Diablo III. Despite being the victim of what many would argue is unwarranted taunting, Ben still loves SoulCalibur VI. Joe sinks deeper into the comfort of vacation and loses a day to everything Destiny 2 can throw at him.

We also talk at length about the magic that is Tetris, and how its newest iteration takes the series somewhere incredibly personal and transforms what we understand of the classic game.

Finally, we hear about the future of Final Fantasy and which series Activision blames for its shortcomings. We recap the X018 event from Microsoft and speculate on what's next for Xbox. Then, we outline Geoff Keighly's Game Awards for you.
