This week on The Free Cheese Podcast:Joe, Marc, and Kyle discuss Nintendo's new partnership with DeNA to bring Nintendo IP to mobile platforms and the introduction of a new membership program. Marc finds secrets in Hotline Miami 2 and figures out the biggest secret behind the entire game. Kyle let his 3DS die and hasn't been bothered to turn it back on. Joe watches two characters in Fire Emblem: Awakening marry and have children, and he finally finds a Mega Man amiibo. We discuss Mighty No. 9 and what we hope will come from the game's release as well as the future of Mega Man with Capcom. We spend a little bit of time talking about the ClayFighter remake that is on its way to consoles, and hear about Kyle's plans for a milkshake shop. |

We discuss living in Japan and how you can never get used to the xenophobia. We talk about Alex's bar, CRITICAL HIT, a bar centered around classic video games in Nagoya, Japan. Alex explains the benefits of living in Japan, along with some of the aspects of the country that make it difficult as an American. We discuss the reasons why classic video games will always be better than modern games, and how playing a game can take you back to that one kid's weird basement over twenty years later. Alex tells us what happens when you ignore your mail in Japan, and gives advice for anyone who is looking to open their own business or move to Japan. We also talk about his podcast, No More Whoppers, and how recording each week helps to keep everything in order.

This week on The Free Cheese Podcast:We get excited about E3 a little early, but first we discuss what we've been playing. Marc has been killing too many blue and yellow Pikmin, while Mike raids in Destiny and discovers the joy of Rayman Legends. Kyle gets addicted to Pokemon Shuffle and saves his friend's corpses in Shadow of Mordor. Sandeep buys a PS4 and is enjoying The Last of Us Remastered, along with an episodic game called Life is Strange. Joe begins to breed in Fire Emblem: Awakening and is super stoked that OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood has been released.We close the show by sharing our hopes for E3 and our excitement for Project Morpheus and virtual reality. We hope that the advent of VR headsets brings us some terrifying survival horror amidst a lot of new experiences that aren't possible in the current gaming market. |
