The Free Cheese

This week on The Free Cheese Podcast:

Joe, Kyle, and Dan sit down to discuss which classic franchise or movie we would like to see reimagined as a modern video game. Before that, Dan talks about the recently released Apotheon for PS4 and the little changes that make LittleBigPlanet 3 so much fun. Kyle trades in some imaginary coins on Club Nintendo for The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX and finds it much more enjoyable than Majora's Mask. Joe can't seem to find anything new to play, and spent the better part of the week falling back in love with Spelunky and The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.
We spend a lot of time talking about the lack of compelling games in the current market and what we are hoping for (see: the impossible). We close the show discussing the game's that we would Kickstart and which reward we would want.

This week on The Free Cheese Podcast:

Sandeep joins us, albeit briefly, with some insightful questions and thoughts on Resident Evil, where to start with The Legend of Zelda, and why we didn't buy the New Nintendo 3DS XL. Kyle slowly loses his patience with Majora's Mask 3D, so much so that it has killed his enjoyment of video games... for now. Dan has been toggling in the world of Far Cry 4 (which still isn't Game of the Year), and explores the weird world of Hohokum. Marc is fired up about Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and the controversy surrounding Hotline Miami 2. Marc has been playing EarthBound for the first time, as well as Pikmin, which has really taken root in his heart.
We talk about the shortage of amiibo, Nintendo's finances, and the death of physical media. There is a lot to unpack this week, so grab some pizza and settle in.

This week on The Free Cheese Podcast:

Joe returns to Gotham... his town in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and changes some things around since his town was still dressed up like Halloween. Marc tries to ace Hotline Miami in anticipation for the sequel. Kyle beats LEGO Marvel Super Heroes in a day and tries to stay interested in the post-game content.
We share our thoughts on The Legend of Zelda coming to Netflix and what we wish Nintendo would do instead.
The music played during the break on this week's episode is called Home by Cory Johnson from the album Earthbound. The album consists of music inspired by and using themes from the music in EarthBound. Go have a listen and check out the album in full.

This week on The Free Cheese Podcast:

We're playing EarthBound for our Game Club. Kyle breaks his gaming rut (hopefully) with LEGO Marvel Superheroes and a bit of the Animal Crossing: New Leaf daily grind. Marc returns to Borderlands 2 albeit briefly and then adopts a wolf in Torchlight 2. Joe completes Mother 3 and cries for hours, then rediscovers Resident Evil in the HD remake, while also exploring a bit in Metroid Prime.
We went hands on with the New Nintendo 3DS XL and give our first impressions, then close the show with some thoughts on amiibo and why we wish we could catch them all.
